Helen L. Schavone

Helen L. Schavone, 84, of Butler passed away Friday at the Good Samaritan Hospice.

Formerly of Whitehall, she and her husband, Jack, moved to Butler in 2000.

Helen was a sweet, gracious woman, a fabulous wife, an amazing mother and a good and considerate friend to all who knew her.

Her ability as a tole painter kept her busy for many years. She was well known for her talent and artistry in adorning wedding invitations with ribbon and flowers, according to the couples' wishes. Her work can still be found in many homes in the Pittsburgh area.

Sincere thanks must be given to ALL who helped her on her final journey.

Still around to enjoy her legacy is her daughter, Beth (Don) Weaver; and her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John “Jack”; and her son, Mark.
