H. Dale Knarr, 75, of Butler passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Nov. 27.

Born July 20, 1943, in Helvetia, Pa., he was the son of the late Harry J. Knarr and Margaret McAninch Knarr.

Dale drove for Ward Trucking for 40 years.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had also served as a PIAA football official.

Dale is survived by his wife of 53 years, Donna E. Knarr of Butler; three daughters, Lori A. (Paul Schulz) Knarr of Butler, Sheri L. (Keith) Hershberger of Butler, and Vicki L. Knarr of New York; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a brother, Donald (Patty) Knarr.
