Barbara J. Molnar
Barbara J. Molnar, 84, of 11037 Edgewood Drive, Conneaut Lake, formerly of Chicora, passed away Saturday at Rolling Fields Eldercare Community in Conneautville.
Barbara was born Nov. 29, 1933, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Dominic and Mary Baker Compagnola.
On June 30, 1956, Barbara married Frank J. Molnar; he survives.
Barbara was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas, Conneaut Lake, and a former member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Butler.
She was a graduate of St. Adrian Catholic High School in Delancey, Pa. Barbara enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her family. She will be remembered for being an exceptional cook and baker, especially around the holidays. Her hobbies included knitting, sewing and making ceramic crafts as well as other types of crafts.
In addition to her husband, Frank, of 61 years, Barbara is survived by her son, Dr. John C. Molnar of Conneaut Lake; two granddaughters, Kayla Marie and Natalie Jo Molnar; and one brother, Joseph Compagnola of Delancey, Pa.
Barbara was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Molnar, and a brother Anthony Compagnola.
MOLNAR — Family and friends of Barbara J. Molnar, who died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, are invited to call from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where a Scripture service will be at 4 p.m.Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Our Lady Queen of the Americas, Conneaut Lake, with Father David Carter, parochial administrator, officiating.
