Howard Martin Mahood

Howard Martin Mahood, 74, of Branchton Road, Boyers, passed away Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness.

Howard was born in Cherry Township, Butler County, on June 22, 1943, to Harold Martin Mahood and Margaret Alberta Christy Mahood.

He met Nancy Gray Jobe at Salem Bible College in Salem, Ohio, and they married on June 3, 1964. She preceded him in death Dec. 1, 2016.

Howard was employed by International Staple and Machine Co. for 39 years.

He enjoyed hunting and building muzzle loaders.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Harold E. Mahood; and most recently, both of his parents.

MAHOOD — Friends of Howard Martin Mahood, who died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, will be received from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at noon Tuesday at Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Warinner, pastor of Bell Memorial Church in Boyers, presiding.Interment will be in Slippery Rock Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be given to the Bell Memorial Church, PO Box 212, Boyers, PA 16020.
