Barton “Mel” Melbourne Bauer, 90, of Smethport, Pa., passed away Wednesday in Bradford Manor.

Mel was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy.

Mel was a member of the American Legion Bucktail Post 138 of Smethport and was a life member of the Saxonburg VFW.
