Raymond “Ray” Ellenberger
Raymond “Ray” Ellenberger, 83, of Butler died Sunday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born Aug. 18, 1934, in Butler, and was the son of the late Camden Ellenberger and the late Dorothy Kildoo Ellenberger.
Ray was the owner and operator of Ellenberger's Farm Market and Greenhouse and also worked maintenance for Butler School District at Oakland Elementary School.
He was Protestant by faith.
Ray enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with his grandsons and grand-dog, Isabelle.
Ray is survived by his daughter, Dr. Karyn Ellenberger Koch and her husband, Stephen, of Imperial; two grandsons, Carson Koch and Connor Koch; two brothers, Robert Ellenberger and Charles Ellenberger, both of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ellenberger, whom he married June 11, 1966, and who died July 9, 1993; and one brother, George Ellenberger.
ELLENBERGER — Friends of Raymond “Ray” Ellenberger, who died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be held immediately following at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.
