Judith Josephine Hogg Crissman
Judith Josephine Hogg Crissman, 71, of Slippery Rock Township passed away Monday at Grove City Medical Center with family members by her side after a 3½-year battle with cancer.
Judy was born on Dec. 22, 1946, in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County. She was the daughter of Charles Robert Sr. and Agnes T. “Terry” Smith Hogg.
Judy was a 1964 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School.
She was a talented seamstress and worked many years at Big River Manufacturing located near Butler.
She lived in the Clymer area for over 20 years before moving to Slippery Rock in 2008.
She enjoyed being outdoors, reading, gardening and fishing.
Survivors include her sisters, Patricia Wyant of Freeport, Bettysu Corey of Rolla, Mo., and Wendy (Douglas) Fabina of Owasso, Okla.; her brothers, Thomas H. and David D. (Tammy) Hogg of Slippery Rock and J. Scott (Sharon Absher) Hogg of Connellsville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Michele; her parents; her sisters, Dianne Hohn and Charlene Hogg; her brother, Charles Hogg; her sister-in-law, Kathi Hogg; and her beloved dog, Peanut.
CRISSMAN — A memorial service for Judith Josephine Hogg Crissman, who died Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, will be held at a later date.Burial will be in Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery.Arrangements were entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society or an animal rescue of your choice in her memory.
