Carl Clifford Henry Jr.
Carl Clifford Henry Jr., 72, of Butler passed away Tuesday at the Kittanning Care Center in Kittanning.
He was born Oct. 7, 1946, in Butler, and was a son of the late Carl Clifford Henry Sr. and the late Elsie Mae Bowser Henry.
Carl was Lutheran by faith.
He worked as an operating room technician at Morton General Hospital in Massachusetts for 10 years, and later at Butler Memorial Hospital for 19 years, retiring in 2008.
Carl was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served on the USS Myles C. Fox as a radio operator during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 117 in Butler.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Cox-Henry, whom he married on Jan. 9, 2005; two sons, Steven Beachem of Kannapolis, N.C., and Michael (Pam) Beachem of Surprise, Ariz.; two stepchildren, Heather Cox and her companion, Tim Young, of Butler, and John H. (Stormie) Cox V of Lucinda, Pa.; many grandchildren; step-grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; one sister, Karen Henry Fair of Butler; his mother-in-law, Jeanette Greenawalt Klepfer of Mayport, Pa.; his sister-in-law, Christy (John) Mealey of Tionesta, Pa.; his brother-in-law, Barry Klepfer of Severn, Md.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Ann Henry Meals; his father-in-law, Donald R. Klepfer; and two brothers-in-law, Ronald Meals and Richard Fair.
