Deloris R. Cunningham

Deloris R. Cunningham, 87, of Franklin Township, died Saturday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born June 23, 1930, in New Sewickley Township, she was the daughter of the late William Allman and Emma Young.

Deloris was a certified nurse's aide for 37 years at Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople and Evergreen Nursing Home in Harmony. In between that time, she worked as a private duty nurse's aide. She also volunteered for five years at the Zelienople Fire Department selling raffle tickets. Deloris was a member of St. John's Burry's Church, where she belonged to the Adult Bible Class. She will be dearly missed.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Terry L. (Karen) Cunningham of Franklin Township; her brothers, James Allmann of New Sewickley Township and Donald “Pete” Allman of Zelienople; her sisters, Leah “Till” Frederick of Harmony, Joanne Nine of New Sewickley Township and Judy Gerwig of Harmony; her grandchildren, Gary, Keith, Benjamin, Samuel, Kimberley, Alexandra, Launah and Kristoffer Cunningham, Brian and Michelle Dunmire; her great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Brandi, Brian Jr., Travis, Brody, Brayden, Paisley, Parker, Gavin and Cole; and her great-great-grandchildren, Sebastian and Kaydance.

In addition to her parents, Deloris was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent L. Cunningham Sr.; her children, Vincent L. Cunningham Jr. and his wife, Susan, and Carol Dunmire and her husband, Jim, and an infant son; her sisters, Hilda Harley, Mary Kirker, Emma Ruckert, Beatrice Yeck and an infant sister, Betty Jean Allman; and her brother, Bill Allman.

CUNNINGHAM — Friends of Deloris R. Cunningham, who died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Burry's Church, 1835 PA-68, Rochester, Pa. She will be laid to rest at the English Lutheran Church Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made in her honor to the Faith Circle at St. John's Burry's Church.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
