Howard Hartung Jr.

Howard Hartung Jr., 86, of Mesa, Ariz., passed away early Friday, Nov. 24. He died from Myasthenia Gravis and other health complications.

Howdie was retired from MSA. He grew up in Evans City and graduated from the high school there. Both of his parents, Howard Sr. and Margaret, preceded him in death.

He served as a trustee and elder at Crestview Community Church PCUSA in Callery. He loved to bicycle, spend time hiking with friends up Superstition Mountain, and cheer on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Norma Bushor of Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Bonnie Myers of Middle Lancaster; a stepdaughter, Cheryl Paul and her husband, Charles, of Cora, Wyo.; a niece, Nancy Goodman of Durand, Mich.; and three children with his former wife, Dolores Taylor of Naples, Fla.; his sons, Gregg Hartung and his wife, Tina, of Mars, Jeff Hartung and his wife, Dolly, of Salem Township; his daughter, Melanie Adams and her husband, Keith, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Ashley Hartung of Pittsburgh, Matthew Hartung and his wife, Nora, of Ruckersville, Va., Michele Hartung of Brooklyn, N.Y., Angela Hartung of Valencia, Maria Hartung of Mars and Willa Adams of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and one great-grandchild, Mabel Hartung of Ruckersville, Va.

HARTUNG — There will be a memorial service and luncheon for Howard Hartung Jr., who died Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Crestview Church, 210 Kline Ave., Callery.Arrangements were entrusted to McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crow Ave., Mars.Memorial gifts can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
