David Eugene Castor

David Eugene Castor, 68, of Harrisville passed away on Monday at his residence. 

He was born March 24, 1949, in Grove City, to Albert Cecil Castor and Betty L. Castor. 

He married Patricia “Kay” Taggart on Feb. 20, 1970, and she preceded him in death on May 13, 2014. He married Deborah Williamson on Feb. 14, 2015, and she survives at the residence. 

David was owner and operator of County Line Radiator located in Barkeyville for 19 years. He then worked for PennDOT in Butler County for 10 years.  

He was a former member of the Harrisville United Methodist Church and recently joined the Grove City Alliance Church. 

David was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Vietnam. 

He had a host of interests, including drag racing, football, softball, coaching the Harrisville Bulldogs, hunting, riding motorcycles and cutting wood. 

Along with his wife, Deborah, survivors include a son, Eric David (Emily) Castor of Bristow, Va.; a daughter, Kristin Marie Castor of Birmingham, Ala.; his brother, Larry Castor of Kilgore, Texas; and two grandchildren, Carson Jacob and Riley Taggart Castor. 

In addition to his parents and his wife, “Kay,” he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Scott. 

CASTOR — Family of David Eugene Castor, who died Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Paul Renicks of the Grove City Alliance Church presiding.Memorial contributions may be given to the Harrisville United Methodist Church in memory of the Castor family. Flowers gratefully declined.
