Richard “Gene” Goepfert, 89, of Oakmont, formerly of Penn Hills, passed away Monday morning.

Gene was a member of Apostles Lutheran Church. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy.

He was the beloved husband of the late Betty L. Goepfert; loving father of Betsy Rozen, Denise Goepfert, and Cindy (Jurgen) Steinert; grandfather of Gabrielle Salera and Megan Burke; great-grandfather of Ella and Addison Burke and Braedyn Pici; brother of Gary Goepfert, Lowell Goepfert, and the late John Goepfert.
