Rita Marie Flinn

Rita Marie Flinn, 86, formerly of Saxonburg passed away Friday at her home in Stafford, Va., surrounded by family.

Rita was born in Oil City and she graduated from Penn High School in Greenville, Pa. She was the daughter of Louis J. Kistler and Anna Elizabeth Kistler.

Rita was a homemaker and member of Holy Sepulcher Catholic Church.

Rita is survived by her husband, Richard D. Flinn, whom she married on April 19, 1949, in Greenville; her daughters, Louanna (Stan) Sowa of Pawleys Island, S.C., Victoria (Gene) Flinn-Rowe of Butler and Kelly (Dave) Huselton of Fleming Island, Fla.; two sons, Richard D. (Kathleen) Flinn Jr. of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Shawn (Catherine) Flinn of Stafford, Va; also surviving are her 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her one brother, Jack Kistler, who was formerly of Groton, Conn.

FLINN — A Mass of Christian burial for Rita Marie Flinn, who died Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church, 1304 E. Cruikshank Road, Butler. Private interment will follow at St. Mary Parish Cemetery in Herman.Arrangements by Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 146 N.
