Richard Earl Jones

Richard Earl Jones, 55, of Connoquenessing Township passed away Tuesday at his residence following an illness.

Born Oct. 21, 1962, in Ellwood City, he was the son of Ethel (Pryor) Jones and the late Duane Jones Sr.

He was a former member of the Prospect and Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Departments as a fire policeman.

Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the races. He was an active bowler in the Butler area.

He is survived by his children and stepchildren, Richard E. Jones Jr, Shania Jones, Matthew J. Dowdy and Amanda D. Dowdy; his mother, Ethel P. Jones of Connoquenessing; his siblings, Diane L (Graham) Miller, Evelyn M. (Garry) Cumberland, Boyce K. Jones and Paul E. (Helen) Jones; and many nieces and nephews.

JONES — A memorial time of sharing and dinner for Richard Earl Jones, who died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Prospect Volunteer Fire Department Hall.Arrangements have been entrusted to Edward L.
