Jon P. Painter
Jon P. Painter, 79, of Jackson Township passed away on Thursday while under the care of the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born Dec. 5, 1937, in Mouth of Seneca, W.Va., he was the son of William McKinley Painter and Martha (Summers) Painter.
Jon was a member of St. Peter's Reformed Church in Zelienople. He was deeply devoted to his church and served as a Sunday school teacher, youth leader and member of the consistory.
After retirement, he enjoyed using his skills as a handyman to help others. He also enjoyed woodworking in his shop and watching the Steelers play. He will be greatly missed.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Eric (Melissa) Painter of Harmony and Elissa (Scott) Chrismer of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; his brother, Mark Painter of Virginia; and his grandchildren, Christopher (Jillian) DiNunzio, Emily Painter, Ethan Chrismer and Logan Chrismer.
In addition to his parents, Jon was preceded in death by his wife, Judith A. Painter; his granddaughter, Elizabeth DiNunzio; his brother, Buck; and his sister, Kay.
PAINTER — The family of Jon P. Painter, who died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Additional visitation will be held from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Reformed Church, 320 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. James R.
