John Frederick Midcap

John Frederick Midcap, 85, of Middle Lancaster Township passed away on Tuesday in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.

Born April 17, 1932, in Porters Falls, W.Va., he was the son of the late Frederick and Fannie (Leek) Midcap.

John enjoyed woodworking, photography, traveling, camping, fishing and hunting. He also was an avid car enthusiast. Above all, John loved spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed.

John leaves behind to cherish his memory his five children, Carolyn (Peter) Marsico of Slippery Rock, Linda S. (Frank) Kowalcyk of Boyers, Joyce (Scott) Fritsche of Ellwood City, Barbara (Perry) Dunn of York, S.C., and William C. (Carla) Midcap of Harmony; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three brothers-in-law, Roger Moffett, Keith Moffett and Joe Moffett.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Lottie Mae Moffett, John was preceded in death by his son, John F. Midcap Jr.; and two grandsons, Evan Midcap and Nathaniel Love.

MIDCAP — Family of John Frederick Midcap, who died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, will welcome friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon on Friday at Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 219 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.He will be laid to rest at Grove Cemetery in New Brighton.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
