Julia V. “Jaye” Notareschi
Julia V. “Jaye” Notareschi, 93, of New Castle, formerly of West Sunbury, passed away Monday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Julia was born Feb. 22, 1924, in Ganister, Blair County, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Angelo Calderone and the late Mary (Dometrovich) Calderone.
Julia was the former owner of Notareschi Distributor in Boyers. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Parish, where in her younger years, she was very active in St. Louis Catholic Church. Julia was a member of the Sons of Italy and loved bowling and golf.
Julia is survived by two daughters, Linda Lewis of Butler and Mrs. Kenneth (Sandra) Peck of Slippery Rock; two sons, Dennis Notareschi of Butler and Jerry Notareschi of Palmyra, N.Y.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Edward (Mary Jane) Calderone of Butler; numerous nieces and nephews including one special niece, Janet McCandless of Boyers; and one special nephew, Richard (Deanna) Calderone of Boyers.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Louie V. Notareschi, whom she married July 19, 1947, and who died Nov. 21, 1961; one son, Richard Notareschi; one grandson, Daniel Scott Peck; and two brothers and two sisters.
NOTARESCHI — Friends of Julia V. “Jaye” Notareschi, who died Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Louis Catholic Church with the Rev.
