Ravens lose CB Smith to Achilles
The Ravens’ dominant defense will have to continue the playoff push without standout cornerback Jimmy Smith.
Smith left in the second quarter after hurting his Achilles tendon without being touched.
“Looks like Jimmy has a torn Achilles,” coach John Harbaugh said after the Ravens’ 44-20 rout of the Lions. “That’s tough. It looks like he’ll be out the rest of the year.”
Smith has been bothered by a sore Achilles tendon for much of the season.
