Dorothy Alice Graham

Dorothy Alice Graham passed away on Wednesday after a long illness.

Dorothy was born at her home in Butler on Sept. 25, 1933, to Irene and David Stewart. She was the youngest of six children.

Dorothy was a wonderful wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed dearly.

Her life's work was her family, but Dorothy also had a career in business. First she worked for Honse Furniture Store in Butler, then at Union Carbide in New York. She also worked at C.M. Almy & Son in Rye, N.Y., and Old Greenwich, Conn., where she was employed for 28 years.

Dorothy was a member of the Pennsylvania Order of the Eastern Star in Butler, the American Yacht Club in Rye, N.Y., and First Presbyterian Church in Griffin, Ga.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Jim Graham; her daughters, Jamie Graham of Atlanta, Ga., and Ruth Jackson of Sioux Falls, S.D.; her grandchildren, Sara Seals of Auburn, Ala., Anna Greene of Atlanta, Ga., and Joshua Jackson of Sioux Falls, S.D.; her great-granddaughter, Savannah Seals of Auburn, Ala.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

GRAHAM — A visitation for Dorothy Alice Graham, who died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017, will be from 10 until 11 a.m. Monday at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.
