Paul E. Snyder Jr.
Paul E. Snyder Jr., 73, of Connoquenessing Township passed away Tuesday while under the care of the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Born Jan. 16, 1944, in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of Paul E. Snyder Sr. and Mary J. (Lash) Snyder.
Paul was a faithful member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Butler.
He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army Reserves, retiring after 29 years of dedicated service.
Paul owned and operated Paul Snyder Builders, then became a code enforcement officer for the City of Butler. After retiring from the city, he worked part-time for Professional Code Services.
Paul also loved to play guitar and sing for his family, but above all, his grandchildren were the light of his life.
Paul leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Nancy Snyder, whom he married Dec. 31, 1991; three sons, Denny (Lori) Cummings of New York, Kenneth (Nadine) Snyder of New York and Nathan (Patricia) Miller of Connoquenessing Township.; five grandchildren, Jamie Rossiter, Spencer Cummings, Jessica Snyder, Justin Miller and Sarah Miller; a brother, Stanley Snyder of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother-in-law, Roger Frey of New York; two sisters, Paulette Swalwell of California and Jackie (Edward) McClive of New York; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Frey.
SNYDER — Friends of Paul E. Snyder Jr., who died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.Additional visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of a funeral ceremony at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev.
