Mary L. Horstman

Mary L. Horstman, 83, of Butler passed away Tuesday at Allegheny General Hospital.

Mary was born Jan. 4, 1934, in Butler. She was the daughter of the late Bernard Birckbichler and the late Irene (Taylor) Matson.

Mary was a homemaker and attended the First Baptist Church of Butler.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Loraine Horstman of Butler and Mrs. Edward (Linda) Riding of South Carolina; two sons, Richard (Shaunee) Horstman of Fenelton, and Donald (Deborah) Horstman of Butler; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; and her four brothers, Bernard Birckbichler of Titusville, William Birckbichler of Ohio, Dennis Matson of Butler and Gary Matson of Butler.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G. Horstman, who died Jan. 15, 2012; one granddaughter, Brenda Brenneman; one great- granddaughter, Ashley Deal; and one sister.

HORSTMAN — Services and burial for Mary L. Horstman, who died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, were held privately in St. Anthony's Cemetery.Arrangements were entrusted to William F.
