Kenneth R. Bennett

Kenneth R. Bennett, 67, of Renfrew passed away Sunday at his residence.

He was born March 29, 1950, in Braddock to Stanley Bennett Sr. and Mary (Barnes) Bennett.

Kenneth was a graduate of Shannock Senior High in Rural Valley and Erie Tech Trade School where he received his welding certificate.

He was a welder/fitter for over 20 years at Wooding Industrial Corp., retiring in August 2015. After his retirement, he worked as a part time van driver for W.L. Roenigk.

In his younger years, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Kenneth also enjoyed spending time with family, with his pet cat, Zoey, and watching the cooking channel and looking for deals on eBay. He loved fishing, gardening, target shooting, fixing old tractors in his workshop and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Linda L. Bennett, whom he married Feb. 28, 1994; two sons, Kenny Bennett Jr. and Chad Bennett, both of Kittanning; one daughter, Carolyn Bennett of Ford City; two sisters, Dorothy Hartzell of Butler, and Lori Dimaio of Rural Valley; four nieces; and two nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Stan Bennett; and two brothers, Stan Bennett Jr. and Dennis Bennett.

BENNETT — Friends of Kenneth R. Bennett, who died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.A funeral service will be held immediately following at 7 p.m. with the Rev.
