Nancy M. Parker, 79, of Butler passed away Sunday after battling Lewey Body Dementia at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born April 24, 1938 in Butler.

She graduated from Butler County Memorial School of Nursing and was a member of the Butler Nurses Alumni.

Nancy worked as a registered nurse for Butler Memorial Hospital and then the VA Butler Healthcare Medical Center retiring in 1996. She was a charter member of the Butler Genealogy Society.

Nancy was a member of the Meridian Presbyterian Church.

Nancy is survived by her two sons, Brad (Yvonne) Parker of Lakeland, Fla., and Ron (Joanne) Parker of Ocean City, Md.; one daughter, Paula (Doug) Arnold of Connoquenessing; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry (Kathy) List of New York, N.Y.; one sister, Linda Shingleton of Salisbury, Md.; one nephew; and a number of nieces and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob L. Parker, whom she married July 18, 1959, and who passed away Dec. 27, 2014.

PARKER — Family and friends of Nancy M. Parker, who died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Franklin of Meridian Presbyterian Church, officiating.Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meridian Presbyterian Church, 4150 Meridian Ave., Meridian, PA 16001 and Butler VNA Hospice, 115 Technology Dr., Butler, PA 16001.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
