Rudolf Emil “Rudy” Missler Sr.
Rudolf Emil “Rudy” Missler Sr., 78, of Cabot passed away Friday at Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.
He was born Dec. 3, 1938, in Butler, to Martin B. Missler and Lydia (Paulowitz) Missler.
Rudy worked at Freeport Transport and in the melt shop at Armco Steel for 35 years before retiring in 2001.
He enjoyed watching old television shows, chopping firewood, sudoku puzzles and working out in the yard.
Rudy was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He loved spending time with his sons and family.
He is survived by three sons, Rudolf E. Missler Jr., Jason E. Missler and Steven D. Missler, all of Cabot; two grandchildren, Meghan Biedenbach and Charley Rae Hoffman; and one brother, Victor Kozik and his wife, Rose, of Allison Park.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol E. (McCormick) Missler, whom he married Dec. 3, 1964, and who died July 28, 2016; one brother, Benjamin Missler; and one, sister, Gustava Missler.
MISSLER — Friends of Rudolf Emil “Rudy” Missler Sr., who died Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mary J.
