Frances J. Campbell

Frances J. Campbell, 94, passed away Sunday at the Carriage Manor in New Castle.

Born July of 1923, in Tug Hill, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Myrtle Hopseker Rogers. Frances was married to Ernest R. Campbell, who died March 2, 1995.

Mrs. Campbell was an elementary school teacher for 24 years in the Laurel School District. She was a member of the Rose Point Reformed Presbyterian Church. Frances was an avid reader. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Donald (Cheryl) Campbell of Hazelton, Pa., and Roger (Diana) Campbell of Ellwood City; her daughter, Amy (William) Puryear of Hilliards; two sisters; one brother; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Vangie Rogers; and five siblings.

CAMPBELL — Visiting hours for Frances J. Campbell, who died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Rose Point Reformed Presbyterian Church, New Castle. Her pastor, the Rev. Charles Brown, will officiate the services. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society.Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home in Ellwood City.Online condolences may be sent to marshallsfh.com.
