John A. Foertsch

John A. Foertsch, 82, of Saxonburg died Thursday at his home.

John was born June 10, 1935, to Albert H. and Mae W. (Eisele) Foertsch.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957.

John married Kathryn L. Neese on June 21, 1957.

He was an elder, a deacon and lifelong member of Summit Presbyterian Church.

John was a charter member of the Northeast Ohio Two Cylinder tractor club, an endowment member of the NRA and had served in the past on the board of the Butler County Farm Bureau. He was a lifelong farmer, businessman and collector of antique John Deere Tractors. He had a passion for John Deere and had restored multiple two cylinder antique tractors to show quality.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; two sons, John Paul and his wife, Elaine, of North Dakota, Albert and his wife, Debra, of Butler; and a daughter, Mary, of Boston; his grandchildren which include Jessie (Mark) Hitchcock of Crofton, Md., Layne (Emily) Foertsch of Butler, John Daniel and Mae and Errol Foertsch, all of North Dakota.

FOERTSCH — Friends of John A. Foertsch, who died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, will be received from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Summit Presbyterian Church, 181 Caldwell Drive, Butler. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tom Jones, officiating. Burial will be at Summit Presbyterian Church Cemetery.Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fox Funeral Home, 410 W.
