Ronald E. Miller
Ronald E. Miller, 73, of Grove City and formerly of Harrisville passed away Saturday while surrounded by his family in Trinity Living Center.
Ron was born in Grove City on Nov. 21, 1943, to Franklin M. and Martha R. (Dinsmore) Miller.
He was a graduate of the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in 1963. Following graduation, he attended Johnstown Rehabilitation Center to learn the art and trade of upholstery.
Ron retired from King's Family Restaurant in Barkeyville where he was a dishwasher for many years. In his younger years he worked on the printing press for the former Young's Printers in Grove City and at the former Dumitru Bakery in Grove City.
He was active with Boy Scouts Troop 380 in Harrisville for more than 50 years. He was an Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow and a former Scout leader.
Ron was a modeler. He enjoyed assembling model cars, ships and airplanes as a hobby.
Ron was a longtime member of Harrisville United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a sister, Joan (Tony) Kearney, of Harrisville, a brother, Garry L. Miller of Mercer and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald F. Miller.
MILLER — Visitation for Ronald E. Miller, who died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Harrisville United Methodist Church, Harrisville, with the Rev. Jeff Cantor officiating. Burial will be at Harmony Cemetery, Harrisville.Memorials can be made in Ron's memory to Harrisville United Methodist Church, 301 S. Main St., Harrisville, PA 16038.
