A Boyers man charged with secretly videotaping a preteen girl while she was in the shower was entered into the county Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program on Wednesday.

Matthew J. Martin, 45, was placed into the program for six months by Judge William Shaffer.

State police charged Martin with two misdemeanor counts of invasion of privacy after an incident on Nov. 1, 2015.

Police said a caseworker for the Butler County Children and Youth Services agency learned of the allegation and on Jan. 4 talked with the girl, who told authorities that Martin admitted filming her with a hidden cell phone, according to court documents. The girl told her father after the incident and he contacted CYS.

That same day police interviewed Martin at his house. He admitted surreptitiously videotaping the girl with his cell phone that he hid in the bathroom hamper, documents said.
