David Ralph Mellott
David Ralph Mellott, 64, of Evans City passed away Saturday after a valiant battle against cancer.
He loved much, he gave to many and he devoted his best to his sons.
David was born March 12, 1953, in Sewickley, to the late Ralph Paul and Victoria Frances Mellott of Hopewell Township.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jesse Paul (Hillary Pendel) and Cody William (Mary Waters) of Pittsburgh; and the mother of his sons, Cynthia Jean.
A 1971 graduate of Hopewell High School, he was an exceptional athlete and excelled in basketball and baseball. David attended Westminster College where he played Titan baseball for three years. He majored in business and graduated in 1975. He spent his professional life working in the insulation business sector in both Pittsburgh and Boston.
David devoted his life to his family and will be sadly missed by his sister, Paula (John) Cosnek, and his brother, Mark (Gretchen) Mellott; his nephews, Matthew (Rocio) Cosnek, Adam Cosnek and Maxwell Mellott; and his nieces, Faith (Robert) Chamberlain, Victoria Mellott, Alyssa Cosnek and Mollie Mellott.
MELLOTT — There will be a memorial service to celebrate the life of David Ralph Mellott, who died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter’s Church in Zelienople with Pastor James R. Bertoti officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.
