Robert A. Wood

Robert A. Wood

Robert A. Wood, 66, was called home to our Lord Monday.

He was raised in Sewickley Hills borough of Pittsburgh as the son of the late Mayor Robert H. Wood and Hilda C. Wood (Pauloski) and brother to Sandra LeTourneau and Denise Hartle.

He was a 1969 graduate of Quaker Valley High School, in the Air National Guard and worked at Dravo on Neville Island.

He was a public servant for over 20 years for the Department of Environmental Protection in Meadville.

Robert was a former member and deacon at Franklin Park Baptist Church. He also served as leader and scoutmaster to Boy Scout Troop 368 in Portersville, and “Woody” was a father figure to many others.

In his spare time, he was an avid sportsman and loved spending time at his camp in Elk County.

He will be dearly missed, but remembered most for his undying love and devotion to his wife of 36 years, Kathleen Fitzgerald Wood; his son, Robert J.F. Wood (R.J.) and daughter, Kelly C. Wood, all of Slippery Rock.
