Nancy M. Kriley
Nancy M. Kriley, 70, of Butler went to be with our Lord and Savior, peacefully in her sleep at home, Tuesday.
She was born Jan. 29, 1947, in Harrisville, daughter of the late John Henry and Mabel (Vorous) Rihel.
Nancy is survived by John A. Kriley, her husband of 51 years. They were married Aug. 6, 1966, at St. Mary of the Assumption in Herman.
Nancy has been a caregiver to many over the years: at Bashline Hospital in Grove City, Sunnyview in Butler, Dom Care Host in their home for 24 years and Civil Service in Boyers. She drove a school bus for 23 years, and was a Red Cross teacher and a Lifeline volunteer.
Nancy was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Herman where she taught Sunday school and was a Eucharistic Minister.
While her sons Billy and Scotty were younger, she was a den mother and committee chairman for Cub Scout Pack 25.
She is survived by her husband, John; and her two sons, Bill (Sandy) Kriley of Rural Valley and Scott (Melissa) Kriley of Butler. The boys blessed her with four granddaughters and two grandsons; Gabrielle, Bradley, Emily, Sami, Braden and Myki.
Nancy loved traveling and camping with her family, playing cards with her club and her “sister,” Peggy Rihel, and bowling with her husband, John.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Winder, and her brothers, Clair, Dave and Bud Rihel.
KRILEY — Friends of Nancy M. Kriley, who died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 821 Herman Road, Butler.
