Richard J. Kidd

Richard J. Kidd, 67, of Butler passed away Saturday at his home.

He was born Dec. 4, 1949, in Callery, Pa., the son of the late Victor and Anna File Kidd.

Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed playing guitar, gardening and feeding the birds and squirrels.

Surviving are three daughters, Francine (Michael) Mills of Butler, Jessica Kidd of Butler and Richelle Kidd of Slippery Rock; his son, James Kidd of Butler; five grandsons, Gavin, Sawyer, Aiden, Colten and Masen; two granddaughters, Eden and Leiya; two sisters, Mary Crawford and Sarah Jane Coast, both of Butler; and his brother, Billy Kidd of Butler.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kathryn “Kathy” L. Kidd; and his brothers and sisters.

KIDD — A memorial service for Richard J. Kidd, who died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, will be held to celebrate Richard’s life at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road, Butler. Family will receive friends starting at 4 p.m.
