Dorothy M. “Dot” Kildoo

Dorothy M. “Dot” Kildoo, 93, of Butler passed away Saturday.

She was born March 17, 1924, in Shaler Township, to the late Merle Smith and the late Mary Setzensand.

Dot and her late husband were the owners and operators of Evergreen Nursery for 30 years and Beef Hide Business in Mount Chestnut. She enjoyed hunting, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Dot is survived by her close friends, Dee (Tom) Bloom of New Castle, Tomi (Ben) Miller of Butler, Tori Bloom of New Castle, and Douglas (Barb) Lindey of Butler; and also her extended family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charley A. Kildoo, whom she married on Aug. 19, 1949, and who died July 6, 2001.

KILDOO — Friends of Dorothy M. “Dot” Kildoo, who died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Ron Schermerhorn from Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church officiating.
