Jean N. Kovach
Jean N. Kovach, 85, of Herman died Tuesday morning at Saxony Health Center.
Born June 25, 1932, in Herman, she was a daughter of the late Sylvester “Wes” Osche and Emma (Baldauf) Osche.
Jean was a homemaker and previously had worked at the Spaide Shirt Factory and the Butler School District. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman and the Women’s Auxiliary of the Herman Volunteer Fire Department.
Her family would like to extend a special thanks to the nursing staff at Saxony Health Center for their great care.
Surviving are her three daughters, Lisa (Jim) Jackman of Herman, Lydia McClelland of East Butler and Lynn (Dale Fry) Kovach of Petrolia; six grandchildren, Nicolas Keith, Dalton Jackman, Halie Jackman, Colby McClelland, Arica McClelland and Kayci McClelland; two great- grandsons, Ryan Keith and Otto McClelland; three sisters, her twin sister, Jane Rhodaberger of Cabot, Ada Skelly of Butler and Ruth Weiland of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Kovach, whom she married Aug. 28, 1965, and died Feb. 3, 2014; also six brothers and three sisters.
KOVACH — Friends of Jean N. Kovach, who died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery.
