James F. Connor

CWO2 (retired U.S. Army) James F. Connor, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather departed this life Aug. 30 in El Paso, Texas.

Jim was born Jan. 7, 1929, to John Francis Connor and Mary Agnes Bruner Connor in Butler.

He was a veteran of 20 years in the U.S. Army, retiring in 1967, as well as retired from Civil Service. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Rodney and Ed; and his sister, Catherine.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie; his daughter, Patricia Velo and her husband, Allen; his son, Jim, and his wife, Brenda; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Erin and her husband, Ryan, Ashley and her husband, Jason, Whitney and her husband, Josh, and Danny and his wife, Olga; and his great-grandchildren, Brianne, Kaitlin, Parker, Travis and Riley.

Also surviving Jim are his brothers, John and Pete; and many nieces and nephews.

CONNOR — Graveside services and interment for James F. Connor, who died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017, were Tuesday at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of the Vaughan's Funeral Home in Boerne, Texas.To leave condolences for the family, please visit vaughansfuneralhome.com.
