Cubs hang on to topple Nationals
In a wild Game 5 in the National League Divisional Series, the Chicago Cubs survived.

Addison Russell had the big blow in the frame with a two-run double that gave the Cubs the lead.
The Cubs led 8-4 before the Nationals began to rally.
Washington scored twice in the bottom of the sixth, but Chicago countered with a run in the top of the seventh for a 9-6 lead.
The National wouldn’t go quietly, scoring two more runs in the bottom of the seventh on a sacrifice fly with the bases loaded by Bryce Harper and a RBI single by Michael Taylor.
Washington was threatening again in the bottom of the eight with runners on first and second and two outs, but Jose Lobaton was ruled out after instant replay review at first on a pick-off throw by Cubs catcher Willson Contreras to end the threat.
Wade Davis finished of the Nationals season in the ninth for the Cubs, who will take on the Los Angeles Dodger in the NLCS.
