Louise Kimmel

Louise Kimmel passed away peacefully Monday.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Harry Kimmel of Gainesville, Fla.; her daughter, Renae Shea of Gainesville; her son, Ed Notaro of Butler; and three stepdaughters, Karen Johnson, Kathy Wearing and Karyl Lindsey.

She also leaves behind eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Kimmel was a graduate of Robert Morris Business College in Pittsburgh and retired from Nationwide Insurance after 25 years of service. She was an accomplished cook, baker and candy maker and enjoyed spending her time in the kitchen and with family.

Together with her husband, Mrs. Kimmel was a member of the Fisherman’s Sunday School Class at Trinity United Methodist Church and did many years of hospital visitation at North Florida Regional Medical Center. One of her greatest adventures in life was a trip with a group from her church to Alaska and the Holy Land.

KIMMEL — A memorial service for Louise Kimmel, who died Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel at Trinity United Methodist Church.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Haven Hospice of Gainesville in Mrs. Kimmel’s name.

Arrangements are under the care of Forest Meadows Funeral Home, Gainesville, Fla.
