Sophia Love

Sophia Love, 98, of Sarver passed away Monday at the Fair Winds Manor.

Born March 28, 1919, in Shadyside, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Malolespzy and Sophia (Hak) Malolespzy.

Sophia was a homemaker. She also worked at Myers Pickle Farm and Jones and Brown Window Co. in Leechburg.

Sophia was a member of the Buffalo Presbyterian Church in Sarver. She enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, music and spending time with her family. She loved reading the Bible and was a perfect example of the woman in Proverbs 31, verses 10 through 31.

Surviving are her children, Brian Mark Hicks of Elkins Park, Pa., Kurt Douglas Hicks of Sarver, Robin James Hicks of Leasureville and Darlene Lynn Kiever of Walkersville, Md.; also 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Clarence Hicks, her second husband, David Love; her four brothers; and a granddaughter.
