SAXONBURG — Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Main St., will have its annual fall festival from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

There will be a flea market, auction, homemade apple butter and baked goods.

CRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Township Public Library, 2525 Rochester Road, joined forces with the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society and will present “Materials Explorers™: Materials Science in Star Wars” at 7 p.m. Oct. 23.

The program is for high school students and adults. It builds on science and engineering themes presented through comic book mythologies, science fiction films and other pop culture references that are fun and accessible resources for engaging students on technical topics.

Registration is required and begins Monday on the library’s website, www.cranberrylibrary.org.
