Elizabeth Ann Mays

Elizabeth Ann Mays, 86, of Butler, peacefully passed away Tuesday at her home.

She was born May 12, 1931, in Butler, the daughter of the late William and Mary (Wynn) Jackson.

Elizabeth retired from Citizens Bank and was a former bus driver. She was an avid fan of Butler youth sports.

She will be remembered for ringing her bell and being her grandchildren's biggest cheerleader. She enjoyed bowling, ceramics, cooking, craft shows and yard sales.

Surviving are four daughters, Darlene (Zigfried) Weber, Aleshia (David) Hough, Tamara Sales and Elka Mays, all of Butler; two sons, Thomas (Barbara) Mitchell and Warren (Helen) Mitchell, both of Butler; seven grandsons; a granddaughter; and two great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings and her husband, Elk R. Mays.
