John W. Dampf Jr.

John W. Dampf Jr., 76, of Butler passed away Wednesday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born May 21, 1941, in Strabane, Pa., he was the son of the late John W. Dampf Sr. and Margaret (Lombardi) Dampf.

John worked for Spang and Company in Butler for 25 years. He then worked as a computer systems analyst, from where he retired in 2000, following 15 years of service.

He was a member of West Middlesex Presbyterian Church.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He was a member of the NRA.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Lou Klages Dampf, whom he married July 27, 1963; two daughters, Julie (Philip) Nini of Butler and Kimberly (Jefferey) Long of North Huntington; and two grandchildren, Bryce and Elizabeth.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

DAMPF — Friends of John W. Dampf Jr., who died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Kevin M.
