ZELIENOPLE — The Zelienople Public Library, 227 S. High St., will offer the following October programs:
2 p.m. Oct. 7, Chess Club’s first meeting for all ages and abilities.
6:30 p.m. Oct. 9, Adult Coloring Night. Take supplies or use supplies at the library.
6:30 p.m. Oct. 25, “Explore Earth: Our Changing Planet” exhibit opening.
Children’s story time will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
Teen artwork will be displayed in the library’s teen room in collaboration with Seneca Valley School District.

ZELIENOPLE — The 33rd annual Country Fall Festival will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 14 and from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Main Street Four Corners Park.
There will be entertainment, sales, pony rides and other activities.

The Butler County Family YMCA will host four fundraising events from Oct. 13 to 15 to support its Strong Kids Campaign.
Haunted Trail from 7:30 p.m. to midnight Oct. 13 and Oct. 14 at Camp YMCA/Armco Park 341 Centerville Pike, Slippery Rock. This outdoor walk through the woods will feature ghouls, demons and monsters.
Casino Royale from 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 14 at Twelve Oaks Mansion, 160 Scharberry Lane, Mars. Casino-themed entertainment, raffles, live music and a magician will be featured in a cocktail party atmosphere.
Dual Branch Cyclethon from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at Butler YMCA, 339 N. Washington St., and from 8 a.m. to noon at Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA, 2001 Ehrman Road, Cranberry Township. Riders can sign up for one hour or all four. Riders also may collect pledges for the time that they ride.

BRADY TWP — The Jennings Environmental Center, 2951 Prospect Road, has the following events in October:
2 p.m. Oct. 15, Zachary Loughman from West Liberty University will discuss crayfish and their natural history, taxonomy and conservation biology.
2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 22, rain or shine, “Nature Detectives: A Prairie Puzzle.” During this outdoor event, families with children age 6 and older and those who are young at heart will explore the only managed and protected prairie in Pennsylvania.
