Linda Rae “Gator” Warner Musser

Linda Rae “Gator” Warner Musser, 73, of Plainfield, Ind., formerly of Butler, passed away Sunday at her residence.

She was born Nov. 27, 1943, in Butler, to Janet Mae Daller Warner and the late Joseph A. Warner.

Linda was the owner/operator of Linda's Beauty Shop in Butler. She was a member of Meridian Street United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, Ind. and most recently attended United Methodist Church in Plainfield, Ind.

Linda belonged to The Sharing Place Food Pantry of the Foundation for Lutheran Child and Family Services. She also volunteered at many thrift shops and food banks.

Linda was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed having lunch with “the girls,” cooking, baking, flower gardening, Pittsburgh Steelers football and fishing. Linda was very involved with her grandsons' activities and loved celebrations and holiday gatherings. Linda loved spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Janet Mae Daller Warner of Butler; two daughters, Elaine Rae Abbott and her husband Wayne of Plainfield, Ind., and Laurie Rae Brown and her husband Terry of Rockwood, Tenn.; two grandsons, David G. Abbott and John J. Abbott of Plainfield, Ind.; one brother, Joseph J. Warner and his wife Paula of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Arnold Musser, whom she married on April 24, 1965, and who passed away on Aug. 29, 2008.

MUSSER — Friends of Linda Musser, who died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Kimberly van Driel of First English Lutheran Church officiating.Entombment will take place in the Calvary Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Indy Honor Flight Network, P.O.
