Watt's injured groin proves to be minor
Steelers rookie outside linebacker T.J. Watt, who left the Vikings game with a groin injury and did not return, was a limited participant in practice Wednesday. He said a scan of his injury proved the injury is minor and cannot be injured further.
Watt said he originally sustained the injury in practice last week.
“I ran around a little bit, tested it around, and it felt pretty good, so I’m happy with that,” he said.
“I knew it wasn’t serious. After getting the scans back it proved I was right. Knowing I can’t hurt it anymore is good news for me. I’ll just take it day by day and see how I feel Sunday.”
Marcus Gilbert (hamstring), Darrius Heyward-Bey (illness), tight end Jesse James (ankle) and center Maurkice Pouncey (illness) did not practice Wednesday.
