Rose “Vivian” Snyder

Rose “Vivian” Snyder, 87, of Butler passed away Sunday at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh.

Born July 8, 1930, in Meridian, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Slater and Edna Reith Slater.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing the organ, gardening, vacationing and her dog, Cassie.

She was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian.

Surviving are two sons, Robert J. Snyder Jr. and his friend, Kathleen C. Sommers, and Brian F. Snyder, all of Butler; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Snyder Sr., who died March 23, 1984; and her brother, George M. “Red” Slater.

SNYDER — There will be no public visitation for Rose “Vivian” Snyder, who died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler. The Rev. William Wuenschel, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.Arrangements have been entrusted to the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E.
