George A. Ellis
George A. Ellis, 64, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Butler died Saturday of early onset Alzheimer's disease.
He was the beloved husband for 23 years of Lynne Federkeil Ellis; the loving father of Brian (Katie) Ellis and Jamie (Joshua) Green; the proud grandfather of Mackenzie and Makayla Green and Riley Ellis; the brother of Charmaine and the late Rosemary; and the son of George Ellis and the late Angeline Drzwycki Ellis.
He also is survived by many loving relatives and friends.
George was a civil structural engineer and earned an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh. He spent 26 years with Spang & Co. in project engineering management and was an avid skier, cyclist and fitness enthusiast.
ELLIS — Visitation of George A. Ellis, who died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sherwood Oaks, 100 Norman Drive, Cranberry Township. A public memorial service will be at 5:30 p.m. at Sherwood Oaks.Memorial contributions may be directed to Sherwood Oaks Employee Scholarship Fund, 100 Norman Drive, Cranberry Township, PA 16066, to give back to the staff of Sherwood Oaks who gave so much love and compassion to George over the past two years.
