Goldie M. Hackett

Goldie M. Hackett, 88, of Butler passed away peacefully Sunday at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Jan. 21, 1929, in Butler, to the late Cecil Graham and the late Blanche Long Graham.

Goldie was a homemaker. She was of the Lutheran faith. Goldie belonged to the Women of the Moose. She enjoyed playing cards, reading and spending time with family.

Goldie is survived by one son, Paul Hackett of Butler; two daughters, Valjean Hackett of Butler and Denise Goepfert and her husband, Gary, of Butler; three grandchildren, Christopher Lindsay of Butler, Dustin Lindsay and his fiancée, Elayne, of Butler and Cody Huff of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Hackett, whom she married Dec. 13, 1952, and who died May 8, 1997; three brothers, Paul Graham, Floyd Graham and Frank Graham; and two sisters, Cora Lachesky and Bertha Graham.

HACKETT — Friends of Goldie M. Hackett, who died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017, will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Following visitation, there will be a funeral service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with David Lindsay officiating.
