Moniteau to face Union/A-C Valley
CHERRY TWP — There's adversity and then there's what the Moniteau football team will try to overcome this week.
The Warriors (1-1) squandered a 16-point lead with a minute left against Punxsutawney in Week 2 and then lost to the Chucks in overtime.
The next game is Union/A-C Valley Friday at home.
The Knight Falcons have lost three in a row to start the season, despite showing flashes.
Unfortunately for Union/A-C Valley coach Dave Louder, those moments haven't spread out over a full game.
Despite suffering a slew of injuries against Punxsutawney, Moniteau coach Jon McCune is expecting nearly all of his players to suit up against Union/A-C Valley.
Quarterback Chance Nagy was one of the injured, but he has returned to practice and is expected to play.
Union/A-C Valley also has some dangerous weapons.
Quarterback Lucas Bowser leads the Butler County area in passing yards with 355.
McCune is hoping Bowser doesn't take off Friday night.
