Cubs rock Taillon, Pirates, 8-2
It was not a strong start for Jameson Taillon.
Pittsburgh’s right-hander surrendered six earned runs on 11 hits in 4 2/3 innings in the Pirates’ 8-2 loss to the Chicago Cubs at PNC Park Thursday night.
Taillon, whose record this season fell to 7-6, struck out three and walked one.
Chicago’s leadoff hitter, Pittsburgh native Ian Happ, went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles.
