Joseph Manion Ludwig Jr.
Joseph Manion Ludwig Jr., 52, of Zelienople passed away unexpectedly Thursday in the comfort of his weekend home in Kennerdell, Pa.
Born March 15, 1965, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Joseph Manion Ludwig Sr. and Ann Craig Ludwig of Ellwood City, formerly of Pittsburgh.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years Lori Kay Slattery Ludwig, whom he married July 12, 1997; his three adored children Gryphon Joseph Manion, Margaret Mae Manion and Sunny Rose Manion; and two sisters Jennifer Ludwig of Ellwood City, formerly of Pittsburgh, and Molly Ludwig of Goodland, Fla.
Joe dedicated himself to teaching art at the Central Valley High School in Monaca, Pa., for the past 21 years where he shared his amazing artistic vision with the students he taught. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and had a daredevil spirit for the extreme. Joe was also a very active member of the Hungarian Club in Zelienople.
Above all, Joe was a caring father who adored his children and treasured the time he spent with them. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, teacher and friend who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
LUDWIG — The family of Joseph Manion Ludwig Jr., who died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017, will welcome friends Tuesday from 6 p.m. until the time of a celebration of life service at 8 p.m. at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E.
